mailer.py on Win2K

David Summers

Hello,
    I'm trying to get mailer.py to work on Win2k with ActiveState Python
2.3 with Subversion 1.1.4.

I believe I have everything set up correctly, I copied the python bindings
directories from the subversion download site to
C:\Python23\Libs\site-packages and was able to get rid off all the python
errors indicating it didn't know about the subversion import modules.

However, now I'm getting a tracback as follows:

I:\svnroot\test>python mailer.py commit \svnroot\test 2
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "mailer.py", in line 797, in ?
   author, propname)
File "C:\Python23\lib\site-packages\svn\core.py, line 33, in run_app
   return apply( func, (pool,) + args, kw )
File "mail.erpy", line 37 in main
   repos = Repository( repos_dir, rev, pool )
File "mailer.py", line 601, in __init__
   self.root_this = self.get_root( rev )
File "mailer.py", line 613, in get_root
   root = self.roots[rev] = svn.fs.revision_root( self.fs_ptr, rev,
self.pool )
SystemError: null argument to internal routine

(I hope I got all that correct, I wrote it down and tried to transcribe it
exactly into this email)

I assume that mailer.py is purported to work on Windows?

If so, could someone point me to what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks!

Some error is occurring, but due to a bug in the bindings build on Windows,
the error is not being reported to you properly.

I guess we really ought to raise the priority of this one.

Max.
