Configuration file syntax

Branko Čibej
As noted in another thread, I've written a page in Confluence that
describes the syntax of our configuration files:

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/x/oYvQBQ

Please review it, especially the formal definition; and please use
in-line comments to note any problems.

Whilst doing that, I found out that Confluence has an "Excerpt" macro
that can mark part of the page content for reuse; and it has a "Children
Display" macro that can show the title and excerpt of child pages. So,
the contents of this page:

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/x/6ojQBQ

are completely automatically generated and will be updated as we add new
documents. Surely that's a great motivation to write them? :)

Awesome! It's nice to see our wiki documentation coming more and more
to life :-).

Thanks for all the documentation efforts (especially to you and Julian).

Are those pi and square root in "The [DEFAULT] Section" supposed to look like Unicode mathematical symbols?

Yes, they are. And I promise that Subversion's config files do indeed
support what's written there — as long as the locale is set up correctly
so that it can convert the contents as UTF-8.

Cool!

I think there should be a subsection after Ignored Matter and before Sections called Character Encoding that documents that, with a yellow box cautioning that locale must be setup correctly.
